Corridale wool ranges in micron from 24.5 to 31.5. Peace of Yarn offers corriedale top of approximately 28 microns. Corridale sheep are both white and colored and their wool top is offered by Peace of Yarn in white, gray, light brown and dark brown. Corriedale wool is a great wool, soft enough for next to the skin. It is durable and has lots of loft and memory with a distinctive crimp. It is also excellent for felting.

The Corridale sheep was produced by crossing Lincoln and Leicester rams with Merino females in the 1800's. Its popularity is such that it is now the second most significant breed in the world after Merino. Mature rams will weigh 175-275 pounds and ewes will weigh 130-180 pounds.
